Is Your Root (Muladhara) Chakra Healthy Or Blocked?

What is a Blocked Root (Muladhara) Chakra?

If you have a healthy Root (Muladhara) Chakra, then, you will be seen with strong sense of Security and Safety in life. You will be well-grounded, with "common sense." The practical side of your life will usually function fairly smoothly. You will have a sense of having (or will easily get) sufficient material resources to meet your needs. You will fairly be at ease with your body. Often, though not always, you will have a relatively healthy physical body, with healthy bones, feet, legs, colon and adrenal glands. Your bowels will function well, and your weight will be in a healthy range.

If the Root (Muladhara) chakra is blocked, you may feel overly fearful about Security and Survival. Perhaps you could be experiencing extreme anxiety, or panic attacks. You may be ungrounded, flighty, fearful, and have a feeling of not really belonging anywhere and also feel unsupported. You might have a weak physical constitution, and problems with your bones, feet, legs, colon, elimination, or weight. Your common sense would be low, and you will mostly feel "unsettled and would not be able to settle with right opportunities." You night not to hold down to a job, or may move often. Sometimes an unhealthy f Root (Muladhara) will manifest in the opposite way, with a person being overly practical, plodding, a creature of habit, unable to dream or imagine.

If you feel there is no support system in your life or there is a lack of nurturing (or just a perceived lack), low back pain is usually the first symptom (can include sciatica). There can be blockages in your body including varicose veins, tumors or polyps in the rectal region, depression, immune-related disorders, mental or emotional problems, a lack of self- understanding, attachment to family background and beliefs and behaviors learned from them, superstitions, pain in the legs, feet, and everything that flows down from the lower back into the toes.

Meditation Technique By Neeta Singhal

Neeta Singhal has developed a unique meditation technique which is called "Release meditation" based on Neti Neti Yog by Jagatguru Shri Adi Shankaracharya. In this technique, the fears are brought to surface and are then released completely from all aspects of life into a rotating vortex which is a black hole that destroys everything. "Facing a fear is bringing it into light and that enables us to release the fear", she says. This meditation style also involves playing the Gayatri mantra or resonance music in the background.
